The field of Library and Information Science has changed dramatically over the past 15 years. Libraries have, in the past, been the center for information storage and retrieval. It has always been a necessity to know the collection within your Media Center and know it well. However, with the growth of the internet and Web 2.0 tools, having a thorough knowledge of your own collection is not enough. Individuals now, literally, have massive amounts of information at their fingertips. It is imperative that the public libraries and school librarians reevaluate and implement new and innovative search strategies which incorporate these immense and extremely powerful sources of information. With this in mind, I am continually working to update and advance my knowledge base of the technology tools available which will facilitate classroom instruction and student understanding.

The following are some of the technology courses/seminars in which I have participated.
